Diet plan friendly Moong Dal pancakes (Oil free)

How to lose weight by eating guilt free meals? Has your trainer given you a diet plan to follow which includes so many pathetic tasteless food? I've been following a calorie deficit diet since 8 months now and have experienced significant results. I would share my experience in an article I am working on currently. But today I would like to share one more diet friendly recipe I am having as my dinner almost every alternate day since a week.

Loosing weight and following a healthy diet has been a nightmare for many. The reason is all the boring food we need to eat every second hour. We get demotivated because all our junk gets replaced by healthy snacks and healthy meals. The foremost weight loss tip I give my followers is to eat good and tasty. It really motivates and excites me for having the next meal every time I think about it.

Today I'll show you how to convert mung dal into delicious lip smacking savoury pancakes. They are flavoured in Indian style. Cook it on a non sticky surface and have them guilt free!

  • 3-4 pods garlic
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 1-2 spicy chillies
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tomato, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and other regular spices and condiments.
  • 2 pinches of Fruit salt or soda bicarbonate
Method:
  1. In a chutney jar, add soaked split moong dal, garlic, ginger, chillies, lemon juice and churn to a smooth batter. Add water as required.
  2. Take the batter into a mixing bowl and add salt to taste, turmeric powder, cumin seeds and fruit salt/soda bicarb and mix well.
  3. In a non stick pan/skillet, drop some batter and don't spread if you want fluffy pancakes. Cover and cook for a minute on very low flame. Once it gets cooked from bottom, flip it and let it get crispy.
Serving suggestions: Serve it medium hot with mint chutney and tamarind chutney.
