Mint Oats Chilla

Having ordinary masala oats every morning is boring. That too on a Sunday! So just to prove Sunday is a Funday, I tried this recipe which made out to be wonderful. If you are on your weight loss diet plan and looking for some fibre rich breakfast then this recipe is surely a must try for you.

Oats Chilla with Tomato Chutney
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups instant oats (plain oats)
  • ½ cup gram (chana)
  • ½ cup roasted peanuts
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 tsp roasted cumin seeds (jeera)
  • 4-5 chopped garlic cloves
  • 2 chopped green chillies
  • 1 tbsp Mint paste/chutney (Fudina paste/chutney)
  • Namak Swadanusar
Method:
  1. Churn out smooth mix of oats, gram, peanuts in a mixture.
  2. Take this mixture in a bowl and add mint paste/fudina chutney, chillies, onions, roasted cumin, #namakswadanusar and water. Maintain consistency similar to chilla/pudla batter.
  3. The batter is ready, spread chillas/pudlas with this batter and cook it on medium flame both the sides.
Serving suggestions: Serve it hot with tomato ketchup or tomato chutney.
